Aurore Bergé, here on January 12, 2024, intends to scrutinize all feminist associations and their reactions to Hamas attacks, despite the criticism.

Aurore Bergé, at the center of criticism for having expressed her wish to sift through the declarations linked to the October 7 attack of all feminist associations, justified herself this Monday, February 12 on X (ex-Twitter) and affirmed that she does not “will not give in”.
“On October 7, 2023, the largest pogrom of our century took place. And after ? Afterwards there was silence. Denial. For what ? This is the word that keeps coming back. Why this silence ? Why did their suffering provoke so little reaction? »begins the Minister Delegate for Equality between Women and Men, who targets feminist organizations.
She continues: “Because they were Jewish?” Because they were Israeli and supporting them meant choosing a side? These questions are truly unbearable. The only side to choose is that of humanism. That of feminism. »
“This examination will be conducted scrupulously”
Aurore Bergé also emphasizes that “suffering with them does not prevent us from criticizing the Israeli government either”. It is in light of this observation that the minister indicated on Radio J on Sunday that she intended to deprive feminist associations which had not denounced the acts of Hamas of state funding.
Except that this announcement went down very badly with these organizations. They denounced a “financial blackmail” and an “instrumentalization” which has the sole aim of “ avoid taking responsibility for the lack of resources in the fight against gender-based violence,” for example judged #NousToutes.
For her part, Aurore Bergé says in her message published on “provocations”, “insults” And ” threat “. But she insists: “I won’t give up anything. Associations are supported to work in support of all women unconditionally. This examination will therefore be conducted scrupulously. »
