Several bats broke into two apartments in Augsburg at night and hung themselves on the walls and ceilings. The small mammals had entered the apartment through open windows, as the fire department announced on Monday. A mother with a small child reportedly dialed the emergency number on Monday night because there were bats in her bedroom and kitchen. The fire brigade caught a total of 13 intruders with a landing net and sheet during the two night missions on Saturday and Monday and released the animals outdoors. Some fluttered out of the window by themselves.
