Augsburg: memory of forced laborers – Munich

Judith Kalman and Elli Friedmann were teenagers when the Nazis invaded Hungary in 1944. The young women first landed in Auschwitz, then came to the Michel works in Augsburg-Kriegshaber. The company maintained a subcamp for 500 Jewish forced laborers who had to manufacture measuring instruments. Judith and Elli later wrote down their stories. Lisa Bühler and Susanne Reng will read from it on Wednesday, December 8th, 7 p.m., the reading will be broadcast as a live stream from the Abraxas Theater (tickets via www.kulturhaus-abraxas.de).
