Judith Kalman and Elli Friedmann were teenagers when the Nazis invaded Hungary in 1944. The young women first landed in Auschwitz, then came to the Michel works in Augsburg-Kriegshaber. The company maintained a subcamp for 500 Jewish forced laborers who had to manufacture measuring instruments. Judith and Elli later wrote down their stories.
