The Augsburg district court has sentenced a 16-year-old to a one-year suspended youth sentence in several cases for the sexual abuse of children. As the court reported on Friday, the accused must also do 80 hours of community service and stay away from the victims in the future. The parties involved in the proceedings had agreed on the sentence before the verdict.
According to the investigation, the teenager is said to have pushed a twelve-year-old girl into a basement compartment and groped her there. Similar cases are said to have taken place in a school and on the street. At the time of the crimes, the accused were 14 and 15 years old. The youth was accused of sexual abuse, deprivation of liberty, insult, coercion and physical harm. Because of the age of the accused and the victims, the hearing took place on Thursday behind closed doors.
