The ZDF multi-part series “Der Palast” with a German-German family story about the Friedrichstadt-Palast revue theater in Berlin got off to a strong start on Monday evening.
The first film of the so-called event series with Svenja Jung, Luise Befort and Heino Ferch, which ran between 8.15 and 9.45 p.m., brought the second an average of 6.34 million viewers. That corresponded to a market share of 20.1 percent.
The linear broadcast went very well, even if the mini-series has been available in the ZDF media library since December 27th.
Before that, the Friedrichstadt-Palast documentary with contemporary witnesses such as Ute Lemper, Carmen Nebel, Wolfgang Lippert and Gregor Gysi already had 2.89 million viewers (10.1 percent) on ZDF from 7:25 p.m.
Overall, there was a lot of television watching on Monday, because RTL and ARD also had good values from 8:15 p.m.: 4.07 million switched to the first edition of the RTL quiz “Who wants to be a millionaire? The 3 million euro week “with Günther Jauch (13.3 percent) and 4.06 million the comedy” Oskar, das Schlitzohr und Fanny Supergirl “with Dieter Hallervorden in the first (12.9 percent).
