“Eldorado KaDeWe” marathon: half of the spectators stayed long

The historic miniseries in the first attracted over three million viewers with the first episode. A significantly larger audience opted for a thriller in the second.

The glossy production “Eldorado KaDeWe – Now is our time” held half of its viewers late into the night during its broadcast marathon on Monday evening in the first.

For the first episode of the ARD miniseries with Valerie Stoll, Lia von Blarer and Joel Basman, 3.06 million (10.2 percent) sat in front of the television from 8.15 p.m. In the last episode, which started shortly after midnight and ended at 0.50 a.m., it was 1.66 million (15.6 percent).

All six episodes can be seen in the ARD media library. The series revolves around the Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe) in Berlin in the 1920s, a sizzling nightlife and a lesbian love.

The ZDF attracted significantly more viewers on linear television. There the thriller “Murder in the Family – The Rubik’s Cube” was shown with a star cast. The thriller about broken money nobility with Matthias Koeberlin, Heiner Lauterbach, Lucas Gregorowicz and Petra Schmidt-Schaller attracted 5.16 million (17.4 percent).

Günther Jauch’s RTL quiz “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” interested 3.66 million (13.8 percent). Sat.1 had the American family film “We buy a zoo” with Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson in its program, with 1.36 million (4.9 percent) opting for it.

The US action comedy “Beverly Hills Cop II” with Eddie Murphy and Jürgen Prochnow on Kabel Eins watched 990,000 people (3.4 percent). ProSieben broadcast the sitcom “Young Sheldon”, which was what 970,000 (3.3 percent) wanted. The adventure film “Cast Away – Verschollen” with Tom Hanks and Helen Hunt on RTLzwei attracted 890,000 people (3.3 percent) into the house. With the Vox documentary “Goodbye Germany! The emigrants »spent 900,000 fans (3.1 percent) the evening. The thriller “The Bourne Identity” with Matt Damon and Franka Potente on ZDFneo had 700,000 viewers (2.4 percent).
