Attack on the CSD Münster: trial of the death of Transman Malte C. – Panorama

Before the trial of the 20-year-old, who is said to have beaten a transman to death at Christopher Street Day in Münster, the community is hoping for justice. And on the fact that the judiciary and politicians recognize the danger in which queer people live.

Malte C. wears his blond hair up, his upper body bare and smiles. In the photo taken on August 27 last year at Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Münster, he looks almost shy. But his intervention later that day was anything but coy. When two women were insulted in a way that was anti-lesbian and called “whores”, Malte C. confronted the attacker and asked him to stop. He then hit him twice in the face with his fist, Malte C. hit the back of his head on the street. Hospital, traumatic brain injury, artificial coma. He was dead six days later. The photo is one of the last to show the 25-year-old alive.
