They have been looking forward to this final for a week in Turin. Now the time has come. Audience favorite Sinner challenges industry leader Djokovic. For the second time in a very short time.

The tennis world is watching today Turin! Because almost everyone has been waiting for this final at the ATP Finals for a week. Audience favorite Jannik Sinner challenges defending champion Novak Djokovic from 6 p.m. (Sky) – for the second time in a few days.

On Tuesday, Sinner defeated Djokovic in three sets in the group phase in a high-class match that lasted more than three hours. It was the Italian’s first ever win against the Serb. “But that no longer plays a role in the game on Sunday,” said Sinner, referring to the dream finale.

Sinner is the first Italian ever to reach the final of the ATP Finals, while Djokovic is reaching for his seventh title. This would make him the sole record winner at the end of the season among the best eight tennis professionals of a season. So far, like Roger Federer, he has won six times.

In the semi-final against Alcaraz, Djokovic showed a very strong performance with a clear 6:3, 6:2. “It was my best game in this tournament,” said the 36-year-old Serb. “I’m very happy with the way I play tennis and how I feel.”

Sinner, on the other hand, had to fight much harder to defeat the Russian Daniil Medvedev 6:3, 6:7 (4:7), 6:1. “It was a difficult game, as expected,” said the Italian. “It is something very special to be in the final here in Italy,” said Sinner.
