Higher, higher, Duplantis! The pole vault superstar is soaring to new heights.

Pole vaulter Armand Duplantis has improved his world record once again. The Olympic champion and world champion from Sweden crossed 6.23 meters at the Diamond League final in Eugene yesterday.

The 23-year-old jumped one centimeter higher than at an indoor meeting on February 25th in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Duplantis had his outdoor record at the At the World Athletics Championships last year, also in Eugene in the USA, it was increased to 6.21 meters. In the successful defense of his title in Budapest, Duplantis, known only as “Mondo”, narrowly failed at 6.23 meters three weeks ago in Budapest.
