at ZEvent, anger of Antoine Daniel and Angle Droit after a video by Emmanuel Macron

Several streamers criticized this Sunday a video of the President of the Republic thanking them for their mobilization in favor of the fight against global warming.

“I’m fed up.” Antoine Daniel and several streamers were angry this Sunday evening at the end of ZEvent, a charity streaming marathon which has already raised more than 9 million euros for four associations which work for the environment. And this because of a video of Emmanuel Macron published on Twitter at the end of the day.

In this video posted in selfie format, the President of the Republic congratulates the streamers for their mobilization “to limit emissions” of CO2 and “respond to the climate disruptions that are already there.”

Emmanuel Macron also announces the forthcoming organization in France of the BLAST TV Major Counter Strike, one of the biggest events on the world esports calendar.

But the video was not unanimous with some streamers, who did not appreciate seeing the Head of State rejoice in the success of ZEvent. Because already in 2021, Emmanuel Macron had made a video on Twitter to congratulate the streamers.

“Every year his fucking shitty tweet to this b**ard. Every year I’m fed up with it”, launches Antoine Daniel, known for having created the show What the Cut. “I’m pissed off that he’s doing his promotion on our fucking back (…) it breaks my ass!” he says in front of his camera.

“There are a few people who hate him”

“The promo? The word is more propaganda… But it bugs me, we didn’t ask for that!” he laments. “I want people to know that since the ZEvent, there are a few people who hate it”, continues Antoine Daniel. “And it’s because of people like him, among others, that we do these events.”

Since 2016, the ZEvent brings together dozens of streamers each year to support a charity. After Save The Children, The Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, the Pasteur Institute, Amnesty International and Action Against Hunger, four associations have been chosen this year.

Sea Shepherd, the Bird Protection League, WWF and Sea Cleaners will therefore share the pot in 2022.

The AngleDroit streamer was also very vindictive. “Well yes you’re counting on us c****d, because you don’t burn anything! If only you had the means to do something! Shit!” she says, recalling that former Prime Minister Jean Castex used a plane to make the Paris-Prades round trip in April 2022 in order to go and vote in the presidential election.
