At UGC Bercy, a regular at the cinema bitten by bedbugs

Last Saturday, Nawal, a resident of the 12th arrondissement of Paris, explained on Twitter that she was bitten by bed bugs at the UGC Bercy cinema.

Contacted by the newspaper The Parisian, she explains that she is a regular at this cinema, having been going there regularly for more than twenty years. Until August 17, the day she claims to have been bitten by bed bugs during a session.

“I had my back and arms covered in bites,” testifies Nawal. “During the days that followed, I scratched my blood, I did not sleep at night. Other people shared the same problem on Nextdoor, a website where neighborhood residents can exchange information. Nawal explains that she had to call in an expert to eliminate the bedbugs infesting her home, the estimate is estimated at 450 euros minimum. In addition, the cinema did not offer to compensate her for the treatment costs or for her annual subscription, but offered her a free seat.
