The opening of the first German LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven, according to FDP leader and Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner, was the turning point for the federal government: it had to get out of the crisis management mode. At the Epiphany meeting of the Free Democrats in Stuttgart, he proclaimed 2023 the year of design – in the traffic light alliance, which is hardly perceived as a progressive coalition anymore, he claimed the leadership role for his party.
