At Short Film Day on December 21st, short films can be seen across Bavaria – Munich

On the shortest day of the year, shorts are supposed to make it big in the cinema – short films that are often overlooked in the regular program. “Le jour de plus court” started in France in 2011, a year later “Der Kurzfilmtag” came to Germany and is now available in more than 20 countries. So on December 21st, short films are shown, not only in cinemas, but also in churches and cultural centers. The motto is “In limbo” and, according to the organizers, invites you to “reflect on intermediate states and explore the connection between uncertainty and balance.”

In Munich, the Neue Maxim Kino (with the children’s program “The first time in the cinema”), the Pasinger Fabrik (with a “Best of Festival” from the Film city Munich), the City Kino (with the “Queer Mixtape” by Queer Film Festival Munich) or the Kulturhaus Milbertshofen (with films for seniors or young people). Short films can also be seen on this day in the Munich area, in Gilching, Gauting or Garching.
