Will Hauts-de-France be the region with the most candidate ministers for the next regional elections at the end of June? Laurent Pietraszewski and Eric Dupond-Moretti, who have already formalized their candidacy, could be joined by Alain Griset, Agnès Pannier-Runacher and Gérald Darmanin
Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister in charge of Industry, would be a candidate in Pas-de-Calais and Alain Griset, Minister in charge of Small and medium-sized enterprises, in the North, assure our LCI colleagues, this Wednesday. In the process,
the JDD announced that the Minister of the Interior and candidate for departmental in the North, Gérald Darmanin, would also be a stakeholder in the regional by being last on the list of Laurent Pietraszewski, Secretary of State in charge of Pensions.
Between five and seven ministers in Hauts-de-France?
If the accounts are well kept, by adding the confirmed candidacy of Eric Dupond-Moretti, Keeper of the Seals, in the Pas-de-Calais, we therefore have five members of the government who will lead the campaign for the regional ones in the Hauts-de- France. However, the campaign director of LREM, Senator Frédéric Marchand, does not confirm the information of our colleagues: “The lists will be submitted on Friday at 1:30 pm, you will know everything at that time,” he said.
The latter, however, is delighted with the involvement of ministers in this local election: “As elected representatives of the Republic, I find it extraordinary that ministers want to get involved in their region”, he welcomes. For him, the schedule of these members of the government should not suffer from this implication either: “We are in somewhat strange conditions with the sanitary measures. The markets every day, door-to-door, it was before, ”insists the senator.
The number of ministers could even increase by Friday. “Come on, life always has its share of surprises. By elimination, there are still ministers from the region whose names are not yet circulating, ”says Frédéric Marchand. Indeed, Barbara Pompili, Minister of Ecological Transition, and Brigitte Bourguignon, Minister of Solidarity, could get out of the woods.
