Aston Villa has failed twice in the planned transfer of Yves Bissouma. This is still the declared transfer target.

Premier League club Aston Villa are keen to sign Yves Bissouma from league rivals Brighton & Hove Albion. That reports The Athletic.

Accordingly, the club from Birmingham wanted to sign the 25-year-old Malian international in the past two transfer periods. The Seagulls apparently rejected an offer of 41.5 million euros at the time.

Yves Bissouma: Aston Villa hopes for cheaper price

Now Aston Villa are said to be hoping for a successful conclusion this summer on more favorable terms. Bissouma’s contract at Brighton runs until 2023, so his price shouldn’t go up any further. According to The Athletic other clubs should be interested in the midfielder.

Bissouma joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Ligue 1 OSC Lille in 2018 and has since blossomed into a performer. So far this season he has made 16 competitive appearances in which he has scored a goal.
