ASSE outclasses Troyes and jumps in the ranking

The 24th day of Ligue 2 ended this Monday evening with ASSE hosting ESTAC. A victory was obligatory for the Greens who could make a superb move in the standings if successful. Opposite, Troyes, in the need to bring back points for the race to maintain, was ultimately no match. Things started very badly for the Aube club with an own goal from former OL, Abdoulaye Ndiaye (1-0, 16th).

Ibrahim Sissoko (2-0, 38th) confirmed the Loire region’s good first period with the break goal just before the break. Returning from the locker room, Troyes drank the chalice to the dregs with three new goals from ASSE signed Nathanaël Mbuku (3-0, 51st), Yvann Maçon (4-0, 63rd) and Anthony Briançon (5-0 , 78th). With this great success, Saint-Etienne moved up five places in the ranking and is now in seventh place. For its part, Troyes will still have to fight to maintain its position and is still sixteenth.
