After the death of “Gefragt – Gejagt” star Klaus Otto Nagorsnik, ARD broadcast a pre-produced episode with him. However, there was no special recognition – to the dismay of the fans.

For ten years, Klaus Otto Nagorsnik played “The Librarian” – his actual job – against people in the quiz show “Gefragt – Gejagt”. Nagorsnik died on April 22nd at the age of 68. Now started in the ARD the new season of the popular early evening show. Among other things, episodes that were produced with Nagorsnik before his death will be shown.

“Asked – Hunted”: Fans angry after first broadcast since Nagorsnik’s death

However, the first of the new episodes caused disappointment among fans of the show. Because there was no tribute or memorial plaque for KO – as Nagorsnik was called – at all. “It’s a recording. But I would have expected an overlay showing that KO has since died. So it’s pretty irreverent,” wrote a viewer on X, formerly Twitter.

“A bit irritating, you could have at least shown a memorial plaque for five seconds with KO in every episode?” another viewer commented on the show. “No mention in the credits! Shame on you, ARD,” complained a fan of “Gefragt – Gejagt”.

For now, no appreciation of Klaus Otto Nagorsnik

But what does the broadcaster say about the alleged faux pas? “An appreciation of the popular hunter in the show will of course follow: in the ‘Gefragt-Gejagt Quizmarathon’ on Saturday, July 27th at 8:15 p.m. in prime time. In the show we will join in as the ‘Gefragt – Gejagt’ family “Thank you and broadcast a detailed obituary,” said ARD when asked by “t-online”. They would also like to thank all those fans “who (…) expressed their condolences via social media,” said the broadcaster.

Alexander Bommes, who moderates the show, was shocked and sad after Nagorsnik’s death. “With Klaus Otto Nagorsnik we are losing a role model of authenticity, education and joy of life. I admired him and really enjoyed playing and laughing with him,” he said.
