Microsoft is also investing billions in AI in Spain

Microsoft continues its commitment to artificial intelligence – the company announces it will invest 1.95 billion euros in Spain’s AI and cloud infrastructure.
In addition to the major investment in data centers for Artificial intelligence in Germany also spends billions for similar purposes in Spain.
It’s about 1.95 billion euros over a period of two years, said Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and Microsoft manager Brad Smith. The money should be used to expand the AI and cloud infrastructure, Smith wrote on the online platform X (formerly Twitter).
Last week, Smith announced investments of almost 3.3 billion euros for Germany within two years. The aim is to expand the capacities in data centers for AI applications and cloud applications. Microsoft’s largest single investment in Germany also includes an AI training program that will reach up to 1.2 million people, it said.
Last November, Microsoft had already committed to investing 2.5 billion pounds (2.9 billion euros) in AI in Great Britain by 2026. Just over a month earlier, Smith had announced an investment of 5 billion Australian dollars (around 3.5 billion euros) during a visit to Australia billion euros) promised to the AI sector.
