One can imagine that during the Nazi dictatorship, artists fared particularly badly in the city of the Nazi Party Rallies. But then you leaf through the 352 pages of the recommended volume “Grauzonen. Nürnberger Küntler:innen im Nationalsozialismus” (edited by Andrea Dippel, Verlag für moderne Kunst, 2022) – and you start to ponder: Was that really the case?
