Aubameyang’s future in London is in doubt. The former Dortmund goalscorer now ends up in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabian giants al-Nasr have made an offer for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. According to information from GOAL and SPOX the club from Riyadh initially wants to loan the ex-BVB attacker until the end of the season. A purchase obligation should then apply, the transfer fee would then be seven million euros.

Arsenal have not yet responded to the offer. There are still debates in the management team as to whether the 32-year-old should be given up in winter. The club is looking for a new striker, but if the courtship is unsuccessful, the offensive could be understaffed during the course of the season.

Aubameyang is under contract with the Gunners until 2023. However, in the end he fell out of favor and was relieved of his position as team captain after a disciplinary offence and also several times not nominated for the match day squad. In January 2018, Arsenal transferred around 64 million euros to Borussia Dortmund for Aubameyang.

The Gabonese should currently be at the Africa Cup. After a corona infection and subsequent heart problems, however, he returned to London prematurely a few days ago.

Vincent Aboubakar, Ramiro Funes Mori and Anderson Talisca, among others, will play for his possible new employer al-Nasr with players who have already gained experience in Europe’s top leagues. The club currently ranks third in the Saudi Professional League.
