“Arrow 3” missile protection shield: The turning point is becoming concrete – opinion

Just a few months ago, everyone who called for anti-missile defense systems for Germany would have been laughed at. Now, among other things, a defense system from Israel is to be bought. Why this is no longer nonsense – but follows cold rationality.

Whatever Vladimir Putin hoped for from this war – pretty much everything is going differently for him than he thought. The Ukrainians are holding out much longer, the Europeans are sticking together more closely. And Germany is changing its attitude step by step. Not yet with full verve in the direction of the gas and oil embargo. But when it comes to self-defense, hardly anything stays the same. At least that’s how it looks after a month of carnage by the Russian army in Ukraine. And even if Putin has backed a general militarization of the world, he will not have reckoned with this dimension of a new will.
