Local Frankfurt fans also report of OM fans who approach passers-by to find out whether they are German.
Situation calm but tense
On Tuesday morning, the situation in Marseille is still calm but tense. French police have increased their presence from 600 to 1,000, according to French media. Around the Olympique stadium, some schools and daycare centers also close earlier due to fears of disputes.
The French authorities had already issued strict rules for Frankfurt away fans in the run-up to the game. For example, the Hessians should not be in certain areas of the city, should not sing any fan chants and should not wear fan paraphernalia. Eintracht Frankfurt also strongly recommended that their fans adhere to these guidelines.
