According to the Rezé departmental gendarmerie company, a 20-year-old man was arrested in Gétigné in Loire-Atlantique on Saturday evening, while he was preparing to steal two goats. The suspect was surprised by the owner who was watching his animals. He was arrested by a patrol from the Clisson brigade and taken into police custody.
Faced with a large number of sheep thefts during the Easter holidays last year in Loire-Atlantique and Maine-et-Loire, the gendarmes have implemented a system to fight against this phenomenon.
