Armed individuals rob a shop window at the European Art Fair in Maastricht

Four suspects were “wanted by numerous units” this Tuesday in the Netherlands for “a possible armed robbery at the TEFAF (the art fair) in Maastricht,” police from the Dutch province of Limburg wrote on Twitter. These were recorded in broad daylight by the surveillance cameras of this fair, one of the largest art and antique fairs on the planet which generally attracts tens of thousands of visitors.

A video posted on social media shows four men in smart clothes, caps and glasses smashing through the shop window to the masses. Two of the men brandished what looked like weapons as a man tried to step in, armed with a large vase full of flowers.

Police then announced that they had arrested two people and cut off several adjacent roads. According to Dutch media, the shop window targeted by the burglars contained products from a London jeweler.
