Republican Lake has filed a lawsuit after losing the Arizona gubernatorial election. This is according to information from the court in Maricopa County, Arizona. According to the official result, Lake, which Trump supported during the midterm elections, lost to Democrat Katie Hobbs.

Lake is directing her lawsuit against several voting officials, her Democratic opponent Hobbs, and her official recognition as the winner of the Arizona gubernatorial election. That was done earlier in the week.

In the lawsuit, Lake alleges that hundreds of thousands of illegal ballots were cast at several polling stations and Republican voters were deterred from casting their ballots. There are several witnesses for this, the 70-page complaint continues.

Lake wants to accept the court’s verdict

Lake, who Trump claims the 2020 election was stolen from him through fraud, had announced before the midterm elections that she would not accept defeat and would take action against the result if she did.

However, shortly after filing her lawsuit, Lake indicated on Twitter that she would acknowledge her defeat if the court ruled the election process lawful.
