Are you a man and have suffered or are suffering from an eating disorder? Your testimony interests us

When we talk about a person suffering from anorexia or bulimia, we immediately have in mind a teenage girl or a young woman. However, eating disorders (ADD) do not only affect women.

Men can also suffer from anorexia, bulimia or binge eating, but they often take longer to be diagnosed. The number of young men affected by an eating disorder is also underestimated because some of them do not recognize the symptoms of a TCA. If you are a man and you suffer or have suffered from anorexia, bulimia or binge eating, your testimony is of interest to us.

What PDD have you suffered from or are you currently suffering from? What are or have been your symptoms? How do you explain today that you fell into the TCA? Have the societal injunctions around what a male body should be like had an impact on you? How long did it take and how did you realize that you had a TCA? How did your loved ones react? Were you aware that these disorders could also affect men? Do you see a lack of visibility of men with eating disorders? If so, what consequences has this lack of visibility had on you?

You can testify by filling out the form below. We are also looking for men living in Ile-de-France who would agree to give their testimony on video. Do not hesitate to specify it. The other answers will be used for the creation of an article. Thank you in advance.
