The Ukrainian Foreign Minister is becoming more clear to his Western partners in view of the slowdown in arms deliveries. At the same time, Kiev is receiving promises from several countries about various weapons systems – including long-range weapons.

After a meeting of the so-called Ramstein Group of the country’s supporters, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported that further arms deliveries had been promised. “We have heard enough important statements from our partners and enough important commitments to be able to say that strong support will continue,” said spokesman Illarion Pavliuk.

According to the information, Ukraine will receive weapons “extremely necessary to effectively defeat the enemy both on the line of contact and in the rear and to destroy its logistical centers.” Among other things, it was promised to equip Kiev with long-range weapons. However, it was not initially announced who or what type it was.

“Our partners are fully aware that we need these weapons and are committed to working to provide Ukraine with more weapons for such attacks,” Pavliuk said. The country has so far received long-range “Scalp” and “Storm Shadow” missiles from France and Great Britain, but also wants Taurus missiles from Germany.

Representatives from 50 countries took part in the Ramstein Group meeting. “We not only listened to our allies, but also conveyed our messages about how we will repel attacks and win,” said the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. “In particular, in addition to the commitment to provide F-16 aircraft, there was also talk about the allies providing additional helicopters.” Six of them of the “Sea King” type come from Germany.

Canada will also deliver ten multi-purpose boats worth approximately $20 million. The announced the local Ministry of Defense. Ottawa also promises to provide civilian instructors, aircraft and support personnel as part of the F-16 training coalition.

The British Ministry of Defense wrote in a statement, they will “support Ukraine for as long as it is necessary.” That’s why military aid is being increased to almost three billion euros this year. Other countries should also increase their aid, London demanded.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba recently sharpened his tone towards partner countries and criticized the slow delivery of ammunition, especially for artillery.
