Houssem Aouar had a tense exchange with a member of the public this Thursday evening at the end of the quarter-final second leg of the Europa League, lost 3-0 by OL (1-1 in the first leg). The Lyonnais was insulted in a very vehement way.
It was definitely very hot in the stands of Groupama Stadium this Thursday evening during the Europa League quarter-final second leg between OL and West Ham. While some supporters tried to invade the field at the final whistle, Houssem Aouar had an altercation with a member of the public, near the bench.

On the images of RMC Sport, we see the OL midfielder turn around several times towards the top of the stand. According to our special correspondents on the spot, Aouar was insulted in a very vehement way. While all eyes from the stands – OL players included – are gradually turning to the individual behind the insults, kept away from the players by an imposing security cordon, the Lyonnais finally resolves to return to the locker room, while repeatedly looking at the supporter.
Land invasion attempt
In turn, several dozen supporters also violently abused the barriers separating the stand from the lawn. Security and the police, with the help of the kops leaders, contained the crowd and no supporters entered the field. Calm quickly returned to the bays of the OL stadium, without any serious incident being to be deplored.
For the players, we will now have to save what can still be saved in this decidedly difficult season. After this elimination in the Europa League, the main objective of the end of the Lyon season, Peter Bosz’s men must now count on a fantastic comeback in Ligue 1.
