The internet doesn’t forget anything, they say, but that’s not entirely true. Some sentences that are uncomfortable for their authors can be deleted from the network – but care is required to do so. Bassel A., for example, did not always show this when he cleaned his Twitter account: When clicking on the account of the Beirut correspondent of Deutsche Welle, many links lead nowhere. “This tweet is not available”, it says after clicking . What is still available, however, are the discussions that relax under some deleted tweets – also with contributions from A. himself.
