Three men are said to have attacked and seriously injured two passers-by in downtown Ansbach. When police tried to arrest the suspected perpetrators on Sunday morning, two officers were said to have been slightly injured. A police dog and a Taser were also used during the arrest, police said. The injured man said that three men had beaten and kicked him.

The three men then initially fled. Both the driver and the 42-year-old were taken to hospital by emergency services with serious injuries.
