There was a threat at Ansbach train station on Thursday evening. A man died as a result of police use of a firearm.

According to initial information from a spokesman for the Central Franconia police headquarters, the police received numerous calls around 6 p.m. According to this, a man in front of the station is said to have attacked several passers-by with a knife. According to initial information from the police, two people were injured.

When the officers arrived, a police firearm was said to have been used in view of the ongoing threat situation. The man who posed the threat was fatally hit.
