Another seven tons of food seized on the La Paillade market

Control operations follow one another on the Paillade market, in Montpellier. An individual had been settling for many years next to the Halles des 4 saisons, raising the anger of traders who work, for their part, with legal authorizations.

On Sunday, the municipal police, in conjunction with the national police, made new seizures. Seven tonnes of foodstuffs were recovered and donated to the Hérault food bank, which then distributed them to humanitarian associations in Montpellier.

Several vehicles have also been fined for inconvenient parking and embarrassment on the public highway.
