Presenter Annemarie Carpendale (44) congratulates her father on his birthday with a public post in German and French. In addition, she shows five photos that show the “best grandfather” with his grandson, who presents him with flowers.
“Not Another World War”
“Thank you for still explaining the world to us better than anyone else – whether it’s the hole in the teapot or the length of the ribbon wrapped around the world at a distance of one meter”, she writes on Instagram. “Stay wonderfully positive, curious, fit, playful, loving, emotional, smart, fashionably colorful, good-looking and adventurous – just who you are!!!” she continues to wish him and his family.
Against the background of the Ukraine-Russia war, Carpendale then put something serious on behalf of himself, husband Wayne Carpendale and their son, the grandson of the jubilee: “Above all, we wish you that you don’t have to experience another world war …”
She does not reveal how old her father is. The Second World War lasted until September 1945.
