“Anne-Sophie and Helena manipulated me”, deplores the last eliminated from the council

He wanted to pretend he had an immunity collar, but the trick didn’t work. Rudy was eliminated by his team, that of the reds, after the fifth council of “Koh-Lanta, the sacred fire” broadcast Tuesday on TF1. The 41-year-old Ile-de-France metro driver reacts coldly to his eviction from 20 minutes.

Did you expect to be eliminated?

Having seen the wind turn a bit during the day, I expected that. What interested me above all was to know the motivations of those who voted against me. Anne-Sophie and Helena strongly disappointed me by manipulating me [elles lui ont affirmé qu’elles voteraient contre d’autres aventuriers] and turning our backs on the red team we built from the start. For me, whatever the circumstances, it was only necessary to turn the old yellows [qui ont rejoint l’équipe des rouges lors de la recomposition des tribus]. We were in numerical superiority and we find ourselves in a big mess.

When Anne-Sophie says she voted against you because you were the worst performer, do you hear her?

No way. She comes up with this argument every time she wants to eliminate someone. Alexandre was supposedly the least deserving while in swimming, he was stronger than me. Despite his strategic side, he was very active in the camp: he made the fire, cut wood… Anne-Sophie didn’t do much. Even though I’m not very good at swimming, I managed to push the cones underwater – I can swim, but with fatigue I was cooked. She was unable to progress with her plot. On the camp, she did nothing, she did not take part in the night rotation to take care of the fire. Same for building the raft. She was more of a follower who hides behind others than someone who undertakes and does.

And when Helena and Quentin say they wanted to “break up” the pair you formed with Esteban, do you understand?

Coming from an ex-yellow like Quentin, I understand. Strategically, it’s completely normal because they are in the minority. Coming from Helena, I can’t imagine how she could have thought that when our partner could be a strength for the former members of the red team. That she wants to break our partnership at reunification, ok, but there, I don’t understand. She disappointed me all the more because I had protected her when she was in trouble. I had informed her of Alexander’s strategy and she had come round to me. She thought selfishly, day by day, without projecting herself further into the adventure.

Alexandre, after his elimination, told us that it was not you the real strategist but Esteban, who pulled all the strings…

I don’t think Esteban is pulling the strings. He gives his ideas, his opinions. It was he who had thought of eliminating Alexandre, it’s true, because he said he was too dangerous, that we couldn’t afford to keep him, that he was a time bomb. But everyone is actually a strategist. Alexander had simply trumpeted it too much.

If you had the opportunity, what would you do differently in “Koh-Lanta”?

I would not take Anne-Sophie in my team! (laughs) I would watch out for Helena. And I would put myself forward less.
