From the end of May, Anne Hathaway will be shooting in North Rhine-Westphalia. Hundreds of extras are still being sought for the Hollywood production.

Anyone who has always wanted to be in front of the camera with a real Hollywood star now has the opportunity: Oscar winner Anne Hathaway (40) and Emmy winner Michaela Coel (35) will soon be shooting a new film in North Rhine-Westphalia. Almost 1,000 extras are still needed for the shooting of the German-American film production “Mother Mary”, as the agency Eick & Weber writes on their website.

Also wanted actors and doubles

Filming will take place from the end of May to the end of July in Cologne and the greater areas of Bonn and Düren and is scheduled to last 40 days. We are looking for “men, women and children of all ethnicities and nations between the ages of six and 80” who, among other things, play concert-goers.

In addition to extras, the agency is also looking for small actors and doubles for the main actresses. The latter should be a white woman around 1.73 meters tall and a black woman around 1.65 meters. You expect up to 40 working days.

The melodrama “Mother Mary” tells the story of the fictional pop star Mother Mary (Hathaway) and her relationship with the fashion designer Sam (Coel). The film is directed by David Lowery (42), who also penned the screenplay. The Film- und Medienstiftung NRW supports the international film project with one million euros.
