The imposter Anna Sorokin is in prison in the United States. There she became infected with Covid-19 at the beginning of this year and developed long-Covid symptoms according to the signs. Now she is suing the US authorities.
For a short time it became a little quieter about the well-known fraudster Anna Sorokin. After her life story “Inventing Anna”, filmed by Netflix, attracted a lot of attention until a few weeks ago. Now the woman, who cheated many people out of large sums of money, can be heard from prison. Sorokin is suing the US immigration service for a corona infection.
According to Sorokin, she was denied the booster vaccination she wanted, so she contracted Covid-19 in January. The detainee developed symptoms such as fever, persistent cough, nausea, migraines and body aches. The corona test was also positive. Other inmates were also affected by the wave of infections in prison at the time. Together with three other women, Anna Sorokin has now filed a class action lawsuit against the US immigration authorities, reports the news broadcaster NBC.
Anna Sorokin claims to have depression and anxiety from Long-Covid
Through her lawyers, the crook announced that weeks after she was proven to be infected, she was suffering from long-Covid symptoms such as: depression, anxiety, cough, shortness of breath, changes in perception and fatigue. Since she is even a risk patient, she suffers from chronic kidney disease, she has now also developed a post-traumatic stress disorder due to all the infection stress. The substance of the class action lawsuit is that there were no reasonable regulations for the prison inmates on how to deal with a booster vaccination and they were not given it as a result.
Anna Sorokin was in prison from 2019 to early 2021 for cheating many people out of a lot of money. She pretended to be a wealthy heiress, forged documents, got illegitimate loans, didn’t pay bills and robbed people financially. In 2021, however, the fraudster was released on probation, but was arrested again shortly afterwards. This time by the US immigration authorities, since her American residence permit had expired, but she did not leave the country. Meanwhile, the native German-Russian tries to apply for asylum in America from prison. A decision is still pending. The streaming service Netflix filmed the story of the imposter in a mini-series called “Inventing Anna”. Sorokin himself wants to make money from an upcoming book and podcast in the future.
