Anker: New GaN chargers, power banks and MagSafe charging stations

Anker is presenting a flood of new products at IFA 2023. In addition to the Anker Nano Power Bank (test) and the Anker 533 Power Bank (test), which ComputerBase has already been able to examine more closely, there are also new nano chargers, MagSafe power banks and MagSafe charging stations.

Wireless charging with Qi2

All MagGo Wireless Powerbanks and MagGo Wireless Charging Stations already support the new Qi2 wireless charging standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), which supports wireless charging with up to 15 watts and offers higher charging efficiency and better heat dissipation. The basis for the standard was Apple’s MagSafe technology.

Anker Nano Charger 30W (A2337)

With the Nano Charger 30W, Anker is launching another particularly small USB-C charger that can charge devices with up to 30 watts. The GaN-Charger is approximately 29 percent smaller than Apple’s 20-watt adapter and again actively monitors temperature and output power to prevent damage. The charger measures 36.3 × 24.6 × 34.2 mm (W×H×D) without the plug, with the plug the depth is 71.56 mm.

In addition to PowerIQ 3.0, the power supply also supports USB Power Delivery Programmable Power Supply (PPS), which is particularly important for smartphones from the Galaxy S20 onwards from Samsung. With PPS, voltages that are not supported by the other USB charging standards – for example, USB Power Delivery uses 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V and 20 V – such as 13 volts can be accessed.

The power supply supports 100 to 240 volts as an input voltage, so it can not only be used in Germany, but can also be taken with you on trips to the USA without any problems.

The Anker Nano Charger 30W (A2337) is available today for €24.99 in black, white, blue and green.

Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station (15W, 3-in-1 Stand)

In terms of wireless, magnetic charging stations, Anker is launching the Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station (15W, 3-in-1 stand), a model that can be placed on the bedside table, for example, to charge the iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods at the same time. The magnetically held iPhone is charged with up to 15 watts, the Apple Watch and the AirPods with 5 watts each. The input power via USB-C is 40 watts.

Anker has not yet announced a price for the IFA 2023, and the date of the market launch remains vague with “Winter 2023”.

Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station (15W, 3-in-1 Pad)

A charging pad with the same performance values is more mobile than the charging station just mentioned, but can also charge three devices wirelessly – also according to the Qi standard. These two charging pads can be folded out so that you can keep an eye on the smartphone while charging and also be able to set up the Apple Watch.

Anker advertises the model as a portable desktop charging pad that you can take with you when you travel. Here, too, the date is “Winter 2023” and no price is known yet.

Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station (15W, 3-in-1 Foldable)

The Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station (15W, 3-in-1 Foldable) is much easier to fold, which can also be used when traveling and on vacation and charges up to three devices wirelessly – it is primarily intended for charging an iPhone, an Apple Watch and the AirPods. For this purpose, it offers suitable brackets. However, it does not have a battery, but must be supplied with power via a power supply unit in order to charge devices.

The output power is 15 watts via MagSafe and 5 watts each via the two wireless charging pads. The input power is 40 watts via USB-C.

The price and an exact date other than “Winter 2023” are not yet known for this charging station either.

Anker MagGo Magnetic Charging Station (8-in-1, 67W)

Less mobile, but with more power, the Anker MagGo Magnetic Charging Station (8-in-1, 67W) continues. It is intended to be used as a charging station on the desk and can not only hold an iPhone magnetically and charge it wirelessly with up to 15 watts, but also offers three AC sockets on the back, as well as two USB-A and two USB-C ports for Loading other devices – it remains to be seen whether Anker can also accommodate three Schuko sockets in the EU version. It provides a total of up to 67 watts via USB. Not only smartphones can be charged with PowerIQ 3.0, but also notebooks via USB-C.

This charging station will also be available in stores in winter 2023 at an as yet unknown price.

Anker MagGo Power Bank (10,000 mAh, 15W)

The Anker MagGo Power Bank with 10,000 mAh and a wireless charging output of up to 15 watts will also be presented at the IFA. The power bank can be easily docked magnetically to a compatible iPhone via MagSafe, but alternatively it also offers a USB-C connection, which can be used to charge devices with up to 27 watts – including Android smartphones, for example.

The power bank has a stand on the back so that it can be set up with your smartphone. A small display is integrated on the side, which shows the battery charge level and the remaining battery life or charging time. The battery can be charged with an input power of up to 20 watts.

The Anker MagGo Power Bank (10,000 mAh, 15W) will be released in the course of the coming winter, Anker will not reveal an exact date or the planned price. But the colors in which it will be available: black, white, green, blue and purple.

Anker MagGo Power Bank (6,600 mAh, 15W)

The Anker MagGo Power Bank with 6,600 mAh and also 15 watts of wireless charging power uses a slightly different design with a smaller battery. The MagSafe mount angles and magnetically holds the iPhone while the base remains on the table. It also has a USB-C port that charges devices with USB Power Delivery 3.0 and Quick Charge 3.0 with up to 20 watts. The input power is also a maximum of 20 watts.
