The manufacturer has announced an important change so that owners of a Samsung Galaxy can get Android updates faster. This should allow the new versions to land on smartphones earlier.
Samsung has made changes to how its updates are distributed to allow European customers to receive a firmware update more quickly. According to the report of SamMobile the release of the firmware update in Europe is no longer tied to the country-specific code (CSC).
The Samsung Galaxy A52 (4G version) is at the forefront of introducing this change. The new process means that one CSC works in all European countries. This doubles the speed at which firmware updates are released. After the Galaxy A52, Samsung’s foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3, will also follow this path.
Android updates for Samsung Galaxy devices reach the user even faster
As the Galaxy Club reports, the “EUX” firmware is the only CSC being developed for Samsung’s upcoming devices in Europe. After the successful implementation, Samsung is expected to follow the same path for all of its upcoming devices in the region.
This new strategy from Samsung has some advantages. First, it can speed up the distribution of firmware updates in the region. Also, the company does not need to develop and release multiple versions of a firmware update.
Also, less Country Specific Code (CSC) means more users in more countries can participate in early beta programs for future updates.
