From Baldham to Berlin it takes five hours by train. If everything goes right. For Andrea Sawatzki, the east of Munich is an eternity away. An eternity and dark hours. The actress, who lives with her family in Berlin, spent much of her youth in Baldham – under harrowing conditions, as she describes in her book “Brunnenstraße”, which was published in early 2022. In the office of the Charlottenburg film agency, people are talking about this and her appearance in Doris Dörrie’s current feature film “Freibad”.
