A first teaser trailer offers a foretaste of the new episodes of “And Just Like That…”. Carrie’s ex Aidan also shows up.
In a few weeks, fans of “Sex and the City” will finally get a new series. The second season of the spin-off “And Just Like That…” starts in June. This is announced by Sky and the streaming service HBO Max, which will be relaunched in the USA from May 23 together with Discovery+ as Max, in a first teaser trailer to the new episodes.
“Life is too short not to try something new”
“If you’re lucky, no matter what life throws at you, you can always count on your closest friends to be there for you,” explains Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker (58), right at the beginning of the clip. In doing so, she makes it clear that fans of the series will probably get exactly what they should expect from the new episodes.
The series continues to tell about the lives of the “Sex and the City” friends from back then. In addition to Carrie, Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon, 57) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis, 58) will also play important roles again. In several scenes, the teaser trailer shows, among other things, where the friends are currently in their relationships.
“Life is too short not to try something new,” says Carrie. She realized “some things are better left in the past, but maybe not everything.” Just after these words fall, her ex Aidan Shaw (John Corbett, 61) suddenly appears in front of Carrie.
Carrie and Aidan’s kiss ‘is not an exercise’
Parker has previously hinted that Carrie and Aidan appear to be reuniting. On Instagram she had Pictures released in January, on which the two held hands. In February they lay down then more photos already in their arms and kissing. “This is not exercise,” she wrote.
Recurring actresses alongside Parker, Davis and Nixon include Sara Ramirez (47), Nicole Ari Parker (52), Mario Cantone (63), Sarita Choudhury (56), Cathy Ang (27), Evan Handler (62 ), Christopher Jackson (47) and Niall Cunningham (28).
While the new season can be seen at Max in the USA, German series fans watch exclusively on Sky or the Wow streaming service.
