Will “And Just Like That…” see a love comeback between Carrie and Aidan? There are many indications…

Will And Just Like That… Season 2 Have A Happy Ending For Carrie And Aidan? The new episodes of the “Sex and the City” spin-off start in June. A love comeback seems quite possible, as producer and series creator Michael Patrick King (68) hinted at in an interview with “Entertainment Weekly”.. In it, he also spoke about the relationship status of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker, 58) and Aidan Shaw (John Corbett, 62).

“I started Season 2 knowing that I was going to bring Aidan back and that was very important to me,” King explained. What happens when he shows up is part of the great fun he had writing the series. On the one hand, he wants to give the viewers something they expect “and still find ways to let people grow and still remain the same person”.

“Both are single”

In season one of “And Just Like That…” Carrie’s husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth, 68) suffered a fatal heart attack. After his death, “Sex and the City” fans clamored for the return of Aidan: He is Carrie’s ex-fiancé and played a major role in the third and fourth seasons of “Sex and the City”. Most recently, however, viewers got to see Aidan as a married man. That seems to have changed.

Michael Patrick King revealed a detail about the new season of “And Just Like That…”: He would not make Carrie Bradshaw an adulteress. “The story is that they’re open minded. They’re both single.”

The kiss “is not an exercise”

Lead actress Sarah Jessica Parker has previously hinted that Carrie and Aidan will appear to be reuniting. In January, she published pictures of the two holding hands on Instagram. In February, they were then in other photos already in the arms and kissed. “This is not exercise,” she wrote.

“And Just Like That…” tells the story of the life of the “Sex and the City” friends from back then. In addition to Carrie, Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon, 57) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis, 58) will also play important roles again in season two.

Other returning actresses alongside Parker, Davis and Nixon include Sara Ramirez (47), Nicole Ari Parker (52), Mario Cantone (63), Sarita Choudhury (56), Cathy Ang (27), Evan Handler ( 62), Christopher Jackson (47) and Niall Cunningham (28).

Famous guest stars

Another familiar face from “Sex and the City” will also appear in season two of “And Just Like That…”: Candice Bergen (77), who played “Vogue” editor Enid Frick in the original series, is loud to see the series creator. “Candice Bergen is back as Enid, which we’re excited about because I’ve always loved Enid.” King told Entertainment Weekly. “She’s a cold, wonderful publishing diva.”

Suffragette Gloria Steinem (89) and music star Sam Smith (30) will also make guest appearances in the new episodes of the series, King confirmed. The series creator also announced more surprise appearances.
