An investigation opened after the discovery of multiple fractures in twin babies

The Toulouse prosecutor’s office confirms that it opened a judicial investigation on May 27 for “violence by ascendant(s) on minors under 15” after caregivers reported multiple fractures in a two and a half month old baby, then on his twin brother.

According The Midi Dispatch, who revealed the case, it all started when the infants’ mother, a resident of the Muret sector, took one of them to the hospital because he was suffering from an arm. The x-rays revealed “about fifteen fractures”, leading to the report.

Examined in turn, the twin brother also has multiple bone lesions. Still according to the regional daily, the parents, who deny any violence, were placed in police custody and then released. The expertise and the investigation of the gendarmes in the entourage of the twins continue under the direction of an examining magistrate.

The babies were operated on and placed in a foster family.
