“Danger Level Alpha” is written outside the gate of the Bundeswehr’s Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg-Wandsbek. That’s reassuring because it’s the lowest level of danger for military areas. Soldiers and students with and without uniform come along the way on a sunny day. Meanwhile, on campus, in the back of the main library, a myth is easily under pressure.
