An exceptional exhibition on the Rolling Stones at the Vélodrome this summer

The Rolling Stones open their treasure at the Stade Vélodrome. A unique exhibition in France on the group’s career will be held in Marseille, and more precisely at the Stade Vélodrome, from June 10 to September 5. This international exhibition will present 400 unique objects from their collection.

Among which many surprises. “Their instruments like guitars, drums, but also costumes beautifully highlighted by the lighting designer of the Stones. Unpublished video recordings, reproduction of their studio and their first apartment, ”lists Philippe Maneuver, the sponsor of this exhibition.

Special relationship with the region

It will be spread over 2,000 m2 in the halls of the stadium, divided into a dozen sub-spaces, and will end with an immersive experience: the screening of the free Havana concert, for which the spectator will be alongside the artists.

The Rollings Stones have a special relationship with Marseille and its region since it is in Villefranche that they recorded the album. Exile on Mainstreet. Without forgetting this concert at the Vallier hall during which Mick Jagger received a chair from a spectator, forcing him to be sewn up. “They did not want us”, jokes Philippe Maneuver.

Pre-reservation slots will be offered in order to limit the number of spectators to 200, nothing like the best way to discover this exhibition. The entry price for an adult is 25 euros, and the price is decreasing for the youngest, for what should be the cultural event of the region this summer.
