an ex-soldier entrenched in his home in Cahors arrested by the Raid

The anguish lasted five hours in downtown Cahors but the outcome left no one injured. The Raid intervened this Sunday in the Lot prefecture to control a madman entrenched in his home.

It was the companion of this 45-year-old ex-soldier who gave the alert at the end of the morning, indicating that the man had attacked her and that he was armed.

Rifle and edged weapons

After having arrested him, “without the use of force”, specifies Patrick Meynier, the director of the Lot police, the Raid searched the home. A “garden” rifle, sent to the expertise, four 12 mm cartridges and bladed weapons were found, indicates Alexandre Rossi, the public prosecutor of Cahors.

The man was taken to a hospital to be checked for possible psychiatric disorders.
