an escaped prisoner, armed, found in a stolen car near Lyon

In the night from Sunday to Monday, a police patrol from Villeurbanne (Rhône) spots a suspicious vehicle, according to information from
Lyon Mag.

The officials therefore ask the driver to stop to control him, but the latter refuses and engages on the motorway in the direction of the south before suddenly taking the exit of Vaulx-en-Velin. The police then set off in pursuit.

A few moments later, a police crew arriving as reinforcements spotted the fugitive in Meyzieu. The latter abandons his vehicle that he had actually stolen the day before in Ternay (Rhône) and fled on foot. After a few minutes of racing, he was caught and then challenged.

But the story does not end there. Upon submitting to the police check, the 21-year-old suspect gives the identity of his brother. The police officers present on the spot discover that this man is in fact trying to conceal his identity because he is an escapee from the Réau prison in the Paris region.

Investigators found in the car a replica of Kalashnikov and the bunch of keys to the apartment he had broken into. Presented to the prosecution on Tuesday, this man with a heavy criminal record is now awaiting his judgment in immediate appearance.
