On March 16th, “The big hit surprise for Florian Silbereisen” will be broadcast on Erste at 8:15 p.m. The moderator is surprised by a number of companions and colleagues who want to celebrate his success with him. Barbara Schöneberger will moderate the show.
The highlight of the whole thing is: Florian Silbereisen thinks he would surprise DJ Ötzi with a show for his anniversary. It is only during the recording that he realizes that the evening will probably be a little different. In an interview after filming he said: “It couldn’t be more surprising!”

“Queen of Entertainment”: The moderator praises Barbara Schöneberger
Now he talks to “Superillu” not only about his beginnings as a hit show presenter, but also about his moderation colleague Barbara Schöneberger. What immediately becomes apparent in the conversation is that he always has kind words for the 50-year-old. “She’s so quick in her head, so incredibly funny, spontaneous and eloquent.”
He also believes that despite their differences, the two also have a lot in common. And this is extremely important for her job. “We don’t take ourselves too seriously and just want to entertain the audience as best we can,” said Silbereisen in an interview.
Afterwards, he probably pays one of the biggest compliments to the presenter who has just taken his show away from him. He describes her as the “absolute queen of entertainment.” Schöneberger will certainly be happy about that and Florian Silbereisen can give her something in return for her surprise presentation.
Silbereisen’s entry is not easy: “It was nothing personal”
After all the praise for his colleague, the pop singer then digresses into his past. He reports that he had a rather difficult start in show business, because at that time only a few people would have believed in him as a showmaster.
“In retrospect, it’s completely logical because people are often afraid of change. It was nothing personal. Suddenly I was no longer the little, dear Florian that everyone likes because he doesn’t hurt anyone,” is how he assesses the situation looking back. He knows it would have been the same for anyone else.
No reason to worry: “We were able to completely reinvent hit shows”
Silbereisen was suddenly “the showmaster of a Saturday evening show that almost all the big, established stars would have been happy to take on themselves.” And: “An entire industry was simply afraid that I could break something.” But fortunately it didn’t happen like that.
“Fortunately, things turned out differently and we were able to completely reinvent and revitalize hit shows,” he says in the “Superillu” interview. Otherwise he certainly wouldn’t have been a successful presenter for 20 years. And his time as a showmaster is far from over. His fans can look forward to the next editions of the “Feste” show.
