But exceptions confirm the rule. as in Manitou’s shoe Winnetouch Michael “Bully” Herbig asked the ranger Christian Tramitz at the stake: “What’s the matter with you lately?” Tramitz snapped back: “I’m dissatisfied with the overall situation.” That was funny, wrapped the zeitgeist of the comfortably depressed turn of the millennium in a one-liner and was so versatile that it became a dictum.
