Ampel wants to make letter delivery more reliable and environmentally friendly – Economy

If you just look at the bare number, you could get the bold idea that the problem should actually be solved quite easily and without emotion. Citizens spend a total of 2.09 euros a month on average for sending letters, one-fiftieth of what they spend in pubs, restaurants and hotels, for example. A minor point, and yet: Anyone who has ever experienced what happens when Deutsche Post AG questions the number of 12,000 acceptance points or even wants to dismantle one of its 109,000 mailboxes, knows what mined terrain politicians are entering, who want to reform the postal law.
