St. Brown celebrates with Lions in NFL playoffs

The Detroit Lions had not won an NFL playoff game since 1992. On Sunday it was that time again – also because of another strong German. Previously, the Packers made an exclamation mark.
For the first time in 32 years, the team won a playoff game in the NFL – and St. Brown basically made it 24:23 against the Los Angeles Rams with his last catch. Detroit was then able to run down the clock and let rapper Eminem’s fans loudly celebrate their emotional success even before the end.
“This is a route that we have been running for two years now. We have it down, we can do it in our sleep,” said St. Brown on US television about the pass from quarterback Jared Goff and announced that he would also have other teammates Want to convince with a look. “One already has a blue beard, but I think there should be more.”

St. Brown went to school south of Los Angeles and played in the metropolis for the University of Southern California. “This means a lot to me. This team is special. Of course I have a personal connection to LA, but it’s about the Lions, it’s about us,” Goff said. “This means so much for this city. This is just the beginning for us, we still have a ways to go.” The Lions have another home game in the next round on January 21st and will face either the Philadelphia Eagles or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who meet on Tuesday night.
Packers also continue
The Green Bay Packers had previously abruptly ended the season of the highly rated Dallas Cowboys. The 48:32 was clearer than the final result would suggest. In the final quarter, the guests led by young quarterback Jordan Love 48:16. Aaron Rodgers’ successor impressed with three touchdown passes and his team will face the San Francisco 49ers next Saturday.
The loss may mean the end of coach Mike McCarthy with the Cowboys. Owner Jerry Jones described the exit as “one of the biggest surprises since I’ve been in the sport”, but did not want to comment on possible personnel consequences. US media are already treating Bill Belichick as the favorite successor, who left the New England Patriots last week after 24 years and six Super Bowl victories.
